American Idol Chris Medina

Get the tissues ready people. Last night's American Idol held auditions in Milwaukee and an amazing audition from Chris Medina (remember that name!). Chris is a 26 year old Barista from Illinois who takes care of his fiancee who suffers from a traumatic brain injury. His story touched my heart so much I searched YouTube for the video and brought it to you. This goes to show that there are still good men around!!!

Crazy Lady Michelle

Just wanted to share another blog I found today about Crazy Lady Michelle.. apparently she's an actress with an upcoming movie (with a ton of unknowns, but appears to look pretty good). Which makes me think that she was brought onto The Bachelor as the drama queen and being told how to act and what to do.  Wouldn't surprise me in the least considering ABC is always desperate for ratings!

Bachelor Mini Recap Episode 4

Can I just start by saying that to me, it is not suspicious that Michelle just randomly woke up with a black eye. With the way she acts with the girls and in her interview, she deserves the black eye.

She even had the nerve to say that if she doesn't get the one-on-one date with Brad this week, then HE was going to get a black eye!!!! Does anyone else see how completely different she acts around him? When he is going to get a friggin clue??! Well, Brad must have gotten a hint from the producers because he did ask Michelle on a one on one date. He helped her face her fear of heights by propelling off of a really tall downtown LA building. Then they hung out in the pool and made out and of course, he gave her a rose. (idiot!)

The other one on one date this week was with Chantel O., the recently divorced executive assistant who works for her Dad and lives in Seattle. Word on the street (or rather, RealitySteve's blog) is that Chantel O. is the big winner of the Bachelor. We shall see. Judging by her date though, its a very high possibility. We can all see how relaxed Brad is with her. They joke around and play with each other and its never a dull moment.

The group date this week was going to a LA radio studio to hang out on the radio show, Loveline with Mike & Dr. Drew. So of course, Dr. Drew picked all of the girls apart. Ho-hum, yada yada yada. The real drama began when Brad took the girls back to his house for some hot tub time. An early favorite of mine, Ashley H., the dentist from Maine, is quickly becoming my least favorite. I seem to think she forgot which show she signed up for. She is very jealous that other girls keep getting time with Brad. I get that, I really do, but those girls are there for the same reason as she is; to find love. I really felt sorry for some of the girls we haven't seen much of, such as Meghan. We see her finally get a chance to sit down with Brad and Ashley S. walks up and steals him away. I kind of wish that Brad would stand up and tell these girls that he needs at least 5 minutes and then he'll get back to them. It's not fair to these girls, especially at a rose ceremony when they don't receive a rose because he didn't get to know them very well. Britt (who hasn't been on the radar much) stole some time with Brad and got a very steamy kiss from him.. one which the Dentist walked in on. So now she's once again feeling all jealous and upset. Get over it sister!!!!

Looking forward to next week's episode, they are all headed to Vegas baby! :)

Clean House

It has taken me a really long time to truly appreciate a clean house.  I think because I finally grew up and realized I like having people over and not be embarrassed of a house.  I live with a man who is very cluttered.. and I am normally a very cluttered person myself.  So I am trying to change myself and clean up after myself as well as after another person.

Usually the biggest part of my cleaning happens with company is coming over.  Which was the case on Saturday.  I have to say, this is the proudest I've been of this new house (we're living in a rental).  The floors may be crappy, the paint on the walls splotchy, but dang when its clean and organized it looks great.  Things are put in their place, floors are clean from dog hair.  It's nice to come home and breath a sigh of relief that I don't have to take time after a long busy day to pick up and put away.

Although, I honestly have to say I couldn't have done it without my friends Dyson & Shark. I just got my new Dyson DC33 Multi-Floor vacuum. I can easily go from my laminate wood to the carpet and the suction is AMAZING. Not to even mention how easy it is to empty the canister when done. It is worth every penny and then some. The Shark Steam Mop is also a lifesaver considering I hate to mop. It really gets the hard to clean spots up and does so without harsh chemicals. I'm not one of those green, enviromentally friendly people, but this is a great Green product.

Luckily my home is clean because I'm coming down with another sinus infection (so it appears).... God knew I needed that little kick in the rear so that I wouldn't worry about it when I was down.  Funny how things like that happen.. :)

Bachelor Mini-Recap Episode 3

Okay so this week's Bachelor to me was the best yet. Brad FINALLY took my favorite, Emily, out on a one on one date. But we'll get to that later.

I didn't pay full attention to the whole episode, but Brad took the nanny Ashley out on a one on one date. I really like her, she's very sweet. They *attempted* to record their version of Seal's "Kiss From A Rose" then were surprised by Seal himself (who was probably cringing backstage)singing the song. Ashley did get the rose and is safe until next week.

The group date this week was doing an action movie..? Okay.. well this part I slept through. Bor-ing! The only thing I can say about this was Michelle is such a snotty brat. Did anyone catch her comment about all the girls needing to pack up and go home so she and "her man" can practice making babies?? When is Brad going to get a clue that Michelle is POISON??

On a serious note, Emily told all the girls in the house about her story. Which is really a sad story and makes me bawl everytime I hear it. When she was 18 she was with the love of her life and he was a racecar driver. She was feeling sick and decided to stay home and he got on a plane to go to the next race and the plane crashed and he died. Less than a week after the tragic accident, she realizes she's pregnant with his child. Now she's a single Mom raising a 5 year old. She is struggling with telling Brad, and who can blame her. This story really makes the girls think about the real reason they are here, especially Madison(vampire girl).

Brad and Emily's date is really romantic. He takes her out to wine country and they have a picnic amongst the vines. You can tell that Emily is really trying to find the time and the words to say to tell Brad her story. You can also tell that Brad knows she has walls up. He says he really really likes her but if she can't open up it isn't giong to work out. Finally, Emily spills the beans and the whole tension lifts and you can finally see that Emily and Brad can really have a serious relationship now.

And Brad still kept Michelle.. Madison excused herself from the show.. and 2 other blondes who haven't been on Brad's radar didn't receive a rose either..

Till next week.. ~Kacy

Lazy Weekend

I think sometimes everyone just needs a lazy day. Well I pretty much took a lazy weekend..I ordered a Netflix subscription on Friday, came home and set it up to instantly stream over my Wii and boy, was I hooked. I have already made it through season 1 & 2 of Keeping Up With the Kardashions and Kourtney & Khloe Take Over Miami.... so I'm pretty much up with the Kardashions up to 2008.. season 3 is waiting on me to pounce on. Anyone else as hooked as I am? My excuse for it is that I don't have E! anymore.. :)

RaNdOm!

Pretty much everyone knows that I am a random person. I usually lose a train of thought because other branches of trains pop out from the original train and I have to backtrack to figure out how I got so way off base. So I guess this will be one of many random postings you'll hear from me..

1) Stupid People
For some reason, I encounter an extreme number of stupid people on a daily basis. Is stupid considered a derogatory term? Because I'm failing in finding some nicer way to state how idiotic people can be. Lets start with stupid drivers..first of all, GET OFF YOUR CELLPHONES! If you aren't calling the police to report an accident, stay off of it!! Get a freaking Bluetooth headset for goodness sakes! I see people everyday that fail to manage both the task of driving and holding a semi-important conversation. Also, quit texting while driving!! This is worse than driving drunk! No text is worth killing yourself or someone else.. really!

2) MEN!
I have yet to find out if my husband is even reading this blog. This could prove to be a good thing with what I am about to say. Why do men have to be so needy?? When God made Eve, did he give her instructions on how to take care of Adam when he started whining about being hungry or wanting/needing attention? I think when every woman gets married, they should be handed an instruction manual on how to deal with all of this. Sometimes, I just don't have the patience for it. If you're hungry, use those two sticks God gave you for legs and walk your happy butt into the kitchen and find something to eat. I have no problem with this, I don't understand why men do!

3) Weight
Why does it have to be so hard to even lose 1 lb? And why does most food that I like have to be so bad for me? Thats just not fair. No wonder most of this country is overweight. And all these yummy food commercials do nothing for my waistline either. Thanks a lot!

And I leave you with a goofy, random picture of myself.. enjoy :)

The Bachelor Episode 2 Mini-Recap

Ahh, The Bachelor is back. I have missed my weekly dose of drama over women fighting over one man. Last night's episode was quite dramatic to say the least. Can I just go ahead and say that I join the masses of the girls in the house and do not like Michelle?? She's gorgeous, don't get me wrong, but she's a wee bit selfish. Did anyone keep count of how many times she told us it was her 30th birthday? I think my last count was ten. She whined because she had to go on a group date with 14 other girls and Brad on her birthday and wah-wah, it wasn't what she had expected. She ended up with the rose on the date, I think because Brad felt bad since it was actually her birthday. Then when she had the rose, she pretty much waved it in everyone's face. Heifer!

Let me back up a bit to Ashley H's carnival date. LOVED her gold dress!! I really admired the serious conversation that she and Brad had about growing up without a Dad. I think she'll go really far in this Bachelor run.

And then we get to Jackie's "dream date". Of course every girl wants to go to the spa with her man and then be surprised with a room full of gorgeous evening gowns and shoes to chose from. How did she chose? That's what I want to know. I don't think I would have picked what she wore, but it was very pretty. I already think Jackie is (Glee's)Lea Michele's twin. And then after picking a gorgeous outfit and having her hair and makeup done, she gets suprised with Neil Lane diamonds to wear. What?! That never happens in real life, c'mon!! Let's not even begin to mention the amazing date they were on.. I want the clothes, forget the date! :)

Then of course we have our weekly dose of drama. Melissa (blonde waitress from FL) and Raichel (the manscaper with fake boobs) apparently have a beef with each other. They were arguing at the group date, then continued it into the cocktail party. What a perfect week for Ali & Roberto to drop by and interview each girl and give Brad their opinion. Needless to say, neither Mel or Raich received a rose. Guess Brad doesn't care for drama, huh?

This concludes my review of this week's Bachelor...... :)

SNOW!!!! in East Texas!!!! :)

I live in a place that doesn't get snow very often, so when there are snowflakes falling from the sky, I am as giddy as a little girl on Christmas! I am writing this as I stare out my window at everything covered in white fluff.

I have 2 small dogs, a Pomeranian named Lucy & a Chihuahua/Maltese mix named Comet. They both LOVED the snow. It made Comet really frisky and he would run and aggravate Lucy to the point of them both chasing each other around the yard. Jeff would make snowballs and throw them to Comet and he would attempt to fetch it, but then couldn't find it. It was the cutest thing ever.
I know snow is a rare occasion and for that reason alone it makes me thankful it is a rare occasion. It is an occasion in which to make lifelong memories. We've been blessed to get it 2 years in a row and we hope that once we have children they will enjoy the same blessing.

Please enjoy my video of the dogs chasing each other. :)

MTV TV Night..

16 & Pregnant is a popular show on MTV. Within the last year I have gotten pretty addicted to this show and tune in to it every week. I am not sure if it is because I love kids and yearn to have some of my own or if I am truly interested in the struggles these teenagers face making adult decisions. Last night's episode was a "Where Are They Now?" catching us all up on what has occured since filming. One baby daddy is in jail because the baby mama put him there, a few of the couples got married and are truly trying to make their relationship work. I really liked the episode because you could truly see these girls growing up, facing their decisions head on, and doing everything they could to make life great for their children. I see some adults that don't even that the drive and determination that Mom at 16 has. Guess we can all take a lesson from that, right?

On a funnier note, MTV also has a new show called I Used To Be Fat which is kind of like a MTV-style one on one "Biggest Loser". Last night's episode featured Marci, an eighteen year old girl who has been homeschooled because of fear of teasing and is getting ready to go to college, and would prefer to go skinny. Marci's Mom doesn't make her eat with the family for meals, instead she takes her to the nearest drive-thru to get her meal. Um, hello? That's probably why you're FAT!! Ahem, I mean overweight. The bootcamp guy is this extremely skinny, ex-Army, nerdy looking dude with sort of a Texan accent and attitude. He basically tells Mom to quit being such a pushover and make her daughter eat healthy and fix her own food. Marci hates him because he's pushing her. She's standing outside in the heat, whining and crying about it being hot, throwing a fit. Yeah, it's hot, but didn't you sign up for this? How did you expect to lose weight? She had 89 days to change her life, she went from 250 to 160 and she did it. I have to say, I admire her for that. Despite the whining and crying, once she finally started to see that what she was doing worked, she shut her mouth and started actually listening. She even cooked her own healthy meals. It's amazing what a spoiled girl can accomplish every once in awhile.

Signing off for the day.. until we meet again.. ~Kacy

Shoes..

I'm sure you've figured out by the name of my blog that I am obsessed with shoes. I think shoes are a very integral part of every outfit. When I plan an outfit in my head, the first thing I think of are the shoes. There are times I buy the shoes and then buy the outfit.

The old adage proves true over and over: You don't know a person until you've walked in their shoes. And in my closet, you'll have your pick from approximately sixty. My husband doesn't understand why I have so many. He clearly doesn't understand the need for so many different styles and heel heights. Men.. what do they know? :)

Until we meet again.. ~Kacy

Introduction to.. well.. ME! :)

2011.. a year I've chosen to make a whole lot of changes to myself.  To take on projects always considered but never tackled, lose weight (of course), and last but most certainly not least, BLOG!  I have wanted to do a blog for the longest time and then I just forget, or I start and then don't do it anymore.

I'm a very opinionated person and I use my Facebook platform to display it. But sometimes, the little "What's on your Mind?" box just isn't enough for me to completely unload my mind. So here we are. :)

If you don't know me (which I'm sure you already do if you are reading my blog), I am a 27 year old goofy girl, married to my best friend with 2 furbabies which really are my children with 4 legs and a tail.  I am blessed with a wonderful family and a ton of awesome friends.  I have an active social life and find it very hard to become bored.  I am an avid sports fan so during football season, be prepared for several posts on games. :)

Well thats it for my introduction.. I will pop by later to really begin here.... :)
